One recognizes one’s course by discovering the paths that stray from it. (Albert Camus)

Taking photos on my trips around the world makes me slow down and fully focus on what’s in front of me. It’s an almost zen-like experience when you prepare for the shot, trying to find the essential of the scene that sparked your interest in the first place. Finding a good composition and then capturing shapes, colors, and light in an artistic way makes me euphoric and greatly enhances my travel experience.

I feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity to see so many different parts of our planet over the years. The joy of sharing my visual memories with others (who might not be able to see these places with their own eyes) is what drives my travel photography for Wikipedia.
