Frank Schulenburg is an award-winning photographer for Wikipedia. He has taken photos on five continents, has traveled to more than thirty countries and has lived in three. He is most interested in landscape, wildlife, and travel photography and shoots images for free educational purposes whenever the occasion arises.
On Wikipedia, Frank’s photos achieved “featured picture” status, ranking them among the online encyclopedia’s finest images. On Flickr, several of his photos were featured in the “explore” section, with his best image reaching an audience of 26,000 over the course of two days.
Frank’s work appeared in the Washington Post, Forbes, Business Insider, The Weather Channel, Popular Mechanics, Gizmodo, and many others. In 2019, the Deutsches Museum, world’s largest museum of science and technology, chose one of his images of the Golden Gate Bridge for its permanent collections.
